The Bay Area School-to-Career Action Network (BaySCAN)
The Bay Area School-to-Career Action Network (BaySCAN) is a coalition of business, labor, education, school-to-career (STC) provider and local STC partnership organizations aimed at developing a Bay Area regional infrastructure to support school-to-career programs and initiatives. Through regional activities focused on areas of common interest such as employer engagement, collaboration among local school-to-career partnerships, and joint industry-school efforts on curriculum, standards, whole school reform, public policy, and public information, BaySCAN initiatives will lead to significant career and learning opportunities for Bay Area youth.

The site contains many resources and links, and helpful information for schools, faculty, industry, and others interested in linking School-to-Career.

Economic Development Alliance for Business (EDAB)
The Bay Area Industry Education Council is proud to be an affiliate member of EDAB.  This past year, our two organizations have collaborated on EDAB's Food Processors Study (BAIEC provided the occupational profiling data for the study, which can be found right here on our web site.), and the Alameda County Job Creation Task Force, among other projects.

The EDAB web site is a real find.  It features a host of well-organized East Bay information, including links to each of its affiliate and member organizations. The East Bay Profiles section provides, economic, demographic and quality of life information and links to things to do and see in the East Bay. It also includes a description of the region and information on 15 cities in the East Bay.  The East Bay Links page boasts a very complete list of links including education, employment, government, and more.  Go to EDAB's Resources page to see a list of affiliate organizations and a great list of East Bay business resources.  Agency contacts shows EDAB's list of public agencies.
