Task List

  1. Encodes correct dollar amount and balances credits an debits using proof machine, and if out of balance, make adjustments by either "charging off" or completing an error indicator document.
  2. Places checks into machine that encodes amount in magnetic ink, adds amounts, and cancels check.
  3. Operates machines to encode, add, cancel, photocopy and sort checks, drafts, and money orders for collection and to prove records of transactions.
  4. Reads check and enters data, such as amount, bank, or account number, using keyboard.
  5. Records, sorts and proves other transaction documents, such as deposit and withdrawal slips, using proof machine.
  6. Compares machine totals to listing received with batch of checks and rechecks each item if totals differ.
  7. Identify and process "high-dollar" transactions, and place in high-dollar bag.
  8. Identify and process "retirement products" and forward for special handling.
  9. Cleans equipment and replaces printer ribbons, film, and tape and restocks workstation supplies.
  10. Attends regular staff meeting and re-training sessions.
  11. Bags completed work for collection by managers.
  12. Observes all company safety regulations and attends regular safety trainings.
